Hi, I’m Natasha Field Levene and I am a Londoner based in Hertfordshire, with many years of experience in both the public and private sectors. I have a variety of roles under my belt, all of which have involved put helping others at the heart of everything I do. As a child, I used to help my father on his stall in Walthamstow Market on the weekends and during school holidays (fun fact: Walthamstow Market is actually the longest market in Europe), and spent my childhood reading the Financial Times, which developed my interests in Marketing and Economics.
In 2012, I graduated from university with a degree in International Business BSc (Hons), however the effects of the 2009 Economic Crisis and a shortage of jobs meant that I was unable to pursue a career in my field of studies. As a result, I ended up working within the NHS in various administrative, reception and patient-facing roles. I did, on one occasion, end up working in a corporate role in Canary Wharf, providing interpreter services for public sector organisations, until I took a sabbatical. Upon my return to the workforce, I returned to the NHS to further assist patients within a Complaints role. However, in 2020, the whole landscape of the healthcare sector changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and my in-person role switched overnight to a remote role. During this time, I also wanted to assist my fellow NHS colleagues and so I co-founded and co-chaired a new NHS staff network, alongside working with NHS directors in strategizing and developing a framework to promote wellbeing and mental health in the workforce.
During my time in these roles, I developed professionalism, resilience to dealing with stressful situations, adaptability (which was essential during the pandemic), and I was able to build upon my empathy and compassion in order to help both my patients and my colleagues. I believe that these are lifelong skills that will guide me through both my professional and personal lives.
In 2023 and 2024, there was a push to return to the office nearly fully and also restructuring within the NHS. I decided that I needed a change, and that I wanted to use my skills to assist others at work, whilst maintaining a work-life balance. Remote working has revolutionised the way that we work, and I wanted to become my own boss. After creating a business plan, name and goal, NFL Business Solutions Limited launched in January 2025, signalling a new year and a new start.
During my free time, I enjoy creative writing and spending time with my family. I enjoy travelling and learning from other cultures, bringing the cuisines I have enjoyed home with me to cook myself. I’m also partial to using humour to get myself through difficult times, and finding the positive in everything.
